By C2X presents the Far Eastern Audio specialist Edifier C2 Plus a revised version of which was often treated as a budget-Tips and promised decent sound at reasonable prices. The updated model is now promising better sound at the same time significantly individual appearance.
For where the C2 Plus sat still in a clear, rectangular shapes, the completely made of MDF C2X is now so much more conspicuous. Besides the design of the membrane Edifier has also three-inch midrange and one inch tweeter measured revised, which are now no longer made of Mylar but silk. By now softer response to the sound of the satellite will benefit especially in high frequency range. The subwoofer uses a driver as before, with six inches in diameter, with the bass reflex port has now slipped to the back and so theoretically allows frequencies up to 50 Hz. At the usual in this class, maximum design weakness in the midrange that does not alter.
As before, the set via an external amplifier is driven, now also stores the settings for volume, EQ, and the source and still can be controlled via the included infrared remote control. Side also an AUX input in the 3.5-mm format, and a headphone output are attached. Edifier is a total RMS power output of 35 watts for the subwoofer and 9 watts each for satellites.
The C2X is currently listed in our price comparison above 90 euros, a good 10 euros more expensive than the C2 Plus, be called for roughly 80 euros. The recommended retail price is EUR 99.90 again with exactly the same level of the previous model.
